Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during therapy sessions?

Each individual session is unique, just like your child. Fun, engaging activities are carefully chosen to focus on your child's specific area(s) of need. We motivate through focusing on your child's interests and strengths to help him/her expand his/her speech and language skills.

Where does therapy take place?  How long are the therapy sessions?

Services can be provided in your home, your child's daycare, or in the community.  Sessions are typically 30 to 60 minutes in length and include time to answer caregiver questions and share ideas for home activities to promote carryover of skills.

If my child receives speech and language therapy at school, would he/she still benefit from private therapy?

Yes!  While school-based therapy is very important, the demand of large caseloads does not allow for individualized targeted speech and language therapy. Private therapy is designed specifically for your child's unique, specific needs.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not currently accept insurance. We accept major credit cards and HSA cards.  Upon request, we will provide a receipt of our services (superbill) to submit to your provider for possible reimbursement.
